Conservation Internships

Getty Post-Baccalaureate Conservation Internship in Paper Conservation 2022-23

Getty Post-Baccalaureate Conservation Internships aim to increase diversity in the field of art conservation. Launched in the fall of 2020 as a pilot program, the internships are the first nationwide effort to provide yearlong financial support and hands-on conservation experience to post-baccalaureate young professionals from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds preparing to apply to conservation graduate programs.

Getty Post-Baccalaureate Conservation Internships are offered at the conservation studios and labs at the Getty Center in Los Angeles and the Getty Villa in Malibu, along with Los Angeles museums including the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures; The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens; the Fowler Museum at UCLA; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA); and the Autry Museum of the American West.
